Telephone Access

Satellite Communication Systems, Inc. (SCSI) commissioned the Network Management Operation Communications Center (NMOCC) in Florida in 1993 with T1/E1 trunk service to Central and South America. By offering teleport services with the appropriate FCC licensing to operate as an International Exchange Carrier, SCSI is uniquely positioned to offer a wide range of international services to North America, South America, Africa, Europe that the Far East. SCSI is currently adding new NMOCC's in California and London to complete our worldwide service.

Space segment- The NMOCC currently offers services on PAS-1 (45 degrees W.L.), PAS-2 (191 degrees W.L), PAS-3 (43 degrees W.L.), Solidaridad (113.5 degrees W.L.), and Spacenet IV (101 degrees W.L.). SCSI also delivers service on Intelsat satellites. SCSI intends to offer service on PAS-5 (58 degrees W.L.) beginning November 1997. SCSI works closely with PanAmSat and other spacecraft owners to provide customers with the optimum space segment to suit each network's unique requirements. With the wide variety of satellites available, SCSI will be able to provide reliable circuits well into the 21st century.

Dedicated satellite service- Dedicated services are available in a variety of data rates with various coding schemes and modulation techniques to interoperate with existing networks or for operation in a closed network environment.
- Data rates: 9.6Kbps to 9Mbps
- BPSK, QPSK, 8PSK, 16 QAM Modulation
- Uncoded, R-1/2, R-3/4, R-2/3 (Trellis)
- IBS, IDR interoperability
- Duplex, Simplex Broadcast

SCSI will provide turnkey earth station installations in country using low cost, yet highly reliable, Very Small aperature Terminal (VSAT) earth stations to establish the required communications. Once the communications link or network is established, any of SCSI's enhanced services may be accessed.
