MEVA V Meeting Celebrates the 1st year

of successful network operations

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, April 20-21, 1998

Attendees at the MEVA V meeting had the opportunity to discuss several proposals and working papers relating to operational experiences from the successful conclusion of the first year of MEVA Network operations. All the attendees were in concurrence that operations quality and reliability exceeded expectations and the network is an overwhelming success. They encouraged those potential members that were still in the process of internal decision making to expedite their considerations and "get aboard".

One of the most important working papers / proposals was to form an informal working group to discuss and research agenda items prior to next years MEVA VI. Dulce Roses of the US FAA will chair the working group and looks forward to coordination via E-mail and telephone as opposed to formal group meetings.

A hearty Thank You to Col. Ramon Rameriz of the Dominican Republic Civil Aviation Authority. The attendees were treated in the most cordial and gracious manner by their hosts. The excellent conference organization and after work social schedule arranged by the Dominican Republic Civil Aviation Authority will leave all the attendees with most pleasant memories of MEVA V.
