Job Description
Activate, monitor and manage customers’ telecommunication services to insure quality and continuity of service and to maintain the technical integrity of the Teleport Network Operations Center in Opa-Locka (Miami), Florida.
Monitor satellite carriers for adherence to specifications.
Coordinate with customers in real time and trouble shoot to resolve service anomalies.
Respond to customer technical inquiries and coordinate with other SCSI departments all urgent customer inquiries received outside outside of normal working hours.
Maintain Teleport Station Log recording all service anomalies as well as premise related activities.
Reports directly to the shift supervisor and/or to the Teleport Manager.
RequirementsTechnical school degree or military training in satellite, electronics or telecommunications fields. Minimum one year experience with a combination of telecommunications, satellite or related fields.
Computer literacy using Windows 95/98 Operating System, including familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
Good verbal presentation skills in English with the ability to interact effectively with customers is necessary. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
SCSI's Teleport facility functions 24 hours a day/7 days a week, requiring that the employee work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
